i saw a picture of mittens on instagram and loved them so much! so i made my own :) the roving wool is SO soft, and great to knit with. the pattern is super easy and they knit up in a couple days.

i was a little nervous about the dip dyeing because i haven't really done it before...i got the mittens wet and dipped them in pink jacquard acid dye, then i added a bit more pink and dipped just the tips of the mittens.

i think it turned out pretty well! here is the picture i was inspired by:

this was a really nice knit, i love using bulky because it goes so fast! hehe and of course i always love a good cowl. especially one that can be worn two ways!

cant decided if i want to pair this with a hat or some cute mittens. or both?? what do you think? ok, this was not very fun to knit! i think it had less to do with the pattern and more to do with the fact that it was a very late birthday gift and the recipient was impatient! lol

knitting under pressure is not fun and games!
the bubbles were a total pain in the butt and by the time i put it all together, i pretty much threw technique out the window. i just wanted it to be done! that said, i think it looks cute and im glad tubby can finally go home.
