FO: anthropologie headwrap

pattern: anthropologie inspired braided headwrap

yarn: merino wool from the union square market

needle: sz. 13

started: february 26, 2011

finished: february 26, 2011

this yarn is so soft i can't even put it into words! i bought it at the union square market, and i wasn't sure exactly how many yards i had, so i wanted to pick a pattern that i knew i would have more than enough for. :)

the woman at the market let me know that i should rinse this yarn out before wearing, she wasn't kidding! my fingers got dyed!
as you can probably tell, i love quick knits that can preferably be worn on my head!

the weather is getting alot nicer so i'm going to have to start wearing this thing asap if i want to get some use out of it before spring officially hits. :) also, this post has made me realize how badly i need to get out in the sun. ah!

FO: stirrup socks

pattern: sausalito stirrup socks

yarn: knitpicks wool of the andes in oyster heather

needle: sz. 8

started: february 16, 2011

this was my first time knitting two socks at once! although, they weren't knit with the magic loop...they were knit flat on the same circular needle. :)

i have really bad second sock syndrome, so it was perfect! really fast, and great subway knitting. i started a second pair...even though i have birthday knitting i really needle to get done! ah!

peace out

more itty bitty baby kniting! i must say, it feels good to be able to knock out a (little) vest in such a short amount of time.

i really love how this turned out, i have a special place in my heart for garter stitch. :)

at first i was a little worried this orange might be a little too bright, but i think its perfect for a baby boy.

cant wait to see it on him :)

FO: baby mitts

pattern: baby mitts

yarn: patons classic wool

needle: sz. 7

started: february 12, 2011

finished: february 14, 2011

my friend lauren said gavin uses the little paw mittens so much that he could use another pair! of course, i was happy to oblige. these little mitts take about 15 min. each and are so cute!

i added an extra green row on one of them, oops. i don't think gavin will mind though. :)

also, the adorable little tag was made by my friend kata, they are so precious i only use them for super special gifts. that is my last one though, i need to buy more! HINT HINT! ;)

stay tuned for some matching booties.

i'd dye for you

look who busted out their dye! this is a mix of pink, turquoise and chartreuse that i got a little carried away with. it might turn out to look like a big ol' mess....or could be amazing!

i have more dye and bare yarn on its way, stay tuned! :)

started: february 1, 2011

finished: february 2, 2011

this wonderful cowl was made from christmas yarn :) thanks mom! the misti alpaca is sooooooo sooooooft, its a dream to knit with.

i decided to keep knitting the cowl until i ran out of yarn, and have you ever had one those patterns that you cant really picture and you just have to believe the pattern and keep on going?

for some reason this cowl was that for me hehe. from the picture on the pattern i had no idea the cowl was wrapped around twice, i just thought it was really chunky @_@ sometimes i wonder about myself....
